It takes dedication, passion, determination, confidence and ambition; to name a few attributes that will aid your success. The modelling industry entices fierce competition that takes a strong character to survive. Unfortunately, stating ‘I want to be a model’ three times will not make you achieve your goal. It is time to work hard, be disciplined and fight for your place within the modelling industry.

Exercise – To achieve a physique that is toned and slender it is essential that you workout. Find a form of exercise that works for your shape and the type of modelling you wish to pursue. For example, the fitness industry demands a completely different frame and stature than catalogue or high fashion modelling.

Eat Healthily – Consume a nutritious diet with plenty of water to keep your body looking and feeling hydrated and full of nutrients. The impact on your complexion and stamina is high allowing for clients to witness your radiant and glowing skin, which will translate well through the camera.

Beauty – To compliment both your exercise regime and healthy eating ensure that take care of your skin by using the right cosmetic products. Seek advice and always test the product before use as if your skin is sensitive to the ingredients you may break out in a rash or unwanted spots. Find an agency – It is important to locate an agency that suits your requirements. An established organisation will be able to guide you in the right direction and find work through their industry connections. Research into an agency that is trustworthy and reliable to help push your career to the next level.

Network – Always be ready to make a great impression with existing and new clients. By communicating and interacting with others at social events you may land new roles that will enhance your career further. Stay alert and friendly at all times to allow for industry experts to warm to you and feel comfortable in your presence.

Be Confident – A self assured model will succeed further as approaching and working with new people will not phase them. An individual who is confident of their abilities without being arrogant is essential in impressing an agent or employer. A timid and shy model will always appear nervous and will make clients question their capabilities.
